About Us
Our Mission:
West Wind Gymnastics Club is a not-for-profit, volunteer-driven organization whose mission is to provide a full range of both men's and women's recreational and competitive gymnastics, trampoline & tumbling programs (and related gymnastics activities) of the highest quality to youth in Lethbridge and the surrounding area.
Our Vision:
As an important player in the community of sport and recreation, our vision is to provide athletes and club members with a safe, welcoming, challenging and fun environment where they can enjoy gymnastics activities. West Wind Gymnastics will attract, develop and retain qualified coaches who will enable participants to practice, perform, mentor and compete in gymnastics activities in ways that build gymnastics skills, confidence and self-esteem. Each athlete and coach will be encouraged to reach his or her fullest potential.
Our Values:
We value the grace, challenge and fun of the sport of gymnastics. We value the life-long importance of being physically active and making healthy life-style choices.
We value quality and will strive for it in all we do.
We value a spirit of mutual respect, dedication, friendly competition, team spirit and fair play.
We value clear, encouraging and open communication amongst all members of the Club.
We value the interests and goals of each individual athlete as a whole person and not only as a competitor or team member.
We value sound business practices including strategic planning, employee development, financial accountability and quality improvement as a foundation for supporting the quality of the services we offer to our athletes, employees, the community and other stakeholders.
We value community partnerships and seek to establish and enhance the public profile of the Club and the sport of gymnastics within our community.
We value and depend on the involvement and support of family members, friends and stakeholders in achieving our Mission and making our vision a reality.
Our commitment, from the Board of Directors, through the coaching staff, and in co-operation with parent volunteers, family members and other supporters, is to do our best to make every class or gymnastics event an activity that each individual participant would want to repeat, if they were given the opportunity.
